Being Black in white spaces, can lead to the duality of being 'seen' for our skin colour, but not 'seen' as an individual with our unique personality traits and inner worlds. This invisibility is a form of erasure and I hope I can help you reclaim your beautiful, bold, visible self with a piece of my "I See You" digital artwork.

The Beauty of Witnessing Each Other
My first yoga teacher, Oya Heart Warrior, speaks often of the power of witnessing each other, encouraging us to whisper the words, "I see you" as we really take the time to behold each other in all our beauty and glory. To be seen and accepted just as we are is so life-affirming and so beautiful. If you don't get to experience this often, I hope I can offer this to you in a small way here.
